SEARCH AND TEACH

SEARCH and TEACH is a two-step process designed to assess children between five and seven who may struggle learning to read. The SEARCH screening aims to discover potential deficits in perceptive and cognitive skills that could make reading more difficult. After the evaluation, we offer a series of learning activities to strengthen problem areas identified by the SEARCH.

SEARCH
The search screening provides an in-depth assessment to evaluate a child’s competence in core areas necessary for reading success. These include:
  • Visual perception
  • Auditory Perception
  • Fine Motor skills
  • Gross Motor Skills
  • Directionality

We offer a 30-minute screening along with a detailed report and personalized recommendations for just $50.

TEACH
After the SEARCH screening, we will discuss whether your child qualifies for the TEACH training. Research demonstrates that early intervention proves effective in heading off reading problems before they occur. Most students complete the program within two years.
